The Client Solutions team engineers and certifies Operating System builds, applications, device drivers and security patches that are deployed to over 120,000 end user devices. Those devices are the user’s gateway into the entire GM IT infrastructure world-wide. Whether it is the CEO of GM, the engineers that design, build, and test vehicles, or the OnStar Advisor that delivers emergency services to OnStar subscribers, our devices touch everyone in GM.
About the role:
The Client Systems Engineer is both a technical person and a business analyst that will assist in the translation of business needs to technical requirements at both the strategic and tactical level in order to provide direction to both the business communities and the engineering staff. The purpose of systems engineering is to produce systems that satisfy the customers' needs, increase the probability of system success, reduce risk and reduce total-life-cycle cost.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of Infrastructure Architecture or Principal Consultant experience
- 5 years of enterprise-wide client distribution/Management tools (i.e. SCCM, SCOM)
- 10 years Microsoft Windows Experience
- 5 years Microsoft Office Experience
- Knowledge of Client and Data Security/Management
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Good People Management Skills (Executive, Business, and Engineering)
- Strong Communication Skills (Written, Verbal, and Design)
- Multi-tier, and Multi-platform Management Experience.
- Active Directory Experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline
