The Amazon.com Business Intelligence team is responsible for a business analytics platform that includes one of the world's largest data warehouses providing reporting, analysis, data mining, and data integration to over 2000 internal and external customers worldwide. Amazon.com has culture of data-driven decision-making, and demands business intelligence of that is timely, accurate, and actionable. Responsibilities:
Amazon.com Business Intelligence is a fast paced environment where every day brings new challenges and new opportunities. As operations (Operations Support) Engineer you will:
- Monitor worldwide Business Intelligence operations
- Provide first level response for all production applications and systems
- Resolve most upstream data and ETL related problems to Data Warehouse processing
- Triage and escalate user problems
- Create in-depth analysis of the health and performance of Business Intelligence systems
- Help design new solutions to improve operations
Basic Qualifications
o Bachelor's Degree
o Good skills in SQL and Unix
o Good Communication skills
o 1 to 3 year experience
o Need to be oncall
