Job Title: Software Performance Test Engineer
Description
Perform performance testing and analysis on telecommunications applications supporting the cellular & wireless industries. Primary activities will include: performance test creation and execution, analysis and reporting of captured platform and application results, support of existing analytical models & creation of new ones, modification and expansion of test infrastructure.
Daily verbal and written communication with an experienced local team and remotely located individuals/teams is considered key. There will be frequent verbal and written interaction with local and remote teams from other parts of the organization. Participation in cooperative and independent efforts is an expectation, requiring the ability to function as part of a team or as a self-managed individual depending on the nature of the current activity.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
· Strong Linux background – with emphasis on performance analysis & tuning of both the Linux platform and applications running on it
Knowledge of and experience running Linux system & application resource usage tools plus interpretation of the results
Creation of Tests using programmatic scripting toolsScripting using OS facilities in support of automation of test sequences and capture/consolidation/reporting of test results
Excellent verbal & written communication skills; Mastery of English is a must.
